Welcome. I am Mr. Ohta.
I graduated from the University of Hawai’i with a Professional Diploma degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree from the College of Education.
I have been at Waiau Elementary School since 1991. While here at Waiau, I have taught in the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Grades.
Although I really enjoy watching students as they grow academically, I also celebrate when I see them grow in areas of taking responsibility and in showing respect toward others and themselves.
The greatest joy I have as a teacher is seeing students -- both former and current -- becoming caring and productive members of the community.
