Aloha,

My name is Jacie Nakazato. I was born and raised on O’ahu and I graduated from the University of Hawai’i - West O’ahu with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. I had the privilege of being a part of West O’ahu’s Elementary Education cohort where I gained lots of experience student teaching at Pearl City and Waipahu schools. 

My passion for teaching comes from my mother who was an educator for 31 years. My goal is to make learning fun and create a welcoming environment for all my students. 

I played soccer for 14 years and it was an integral part of my upbringing. I was able to play alongside some of my best friends while learning important life lessons along the way. Other than soccer, I enjoy the outdoors and learning to play lots of different sports. I also love to read and paint in my free time. 

I am very proud to be teaching here at Waiau and I know it will be an exciting year of great learning experiences!
